This ring is made by Balfour, marked "10k", is a ring size 10. measures .875-in. x 1-in. x 1/125-in. Weighs 30.6 grams, overall G-VG/VG condition with years of wear evident. Includes original hinged felt box, outer two-part cardboard box and Tom Mulcahy's business card. Provenance: Estate of Thomas P. Mulcahy (Professional Baseball Player for Pittsburgh Pirates, Coach for numerous teams, Front Office with San Diego padres, 1932-2021). Mr. Mulcahy was inducted three times into the Butte Sports Hall of Fame - in 1993 as an individual and also in 1987 and 1993 as a member of two championship Hall of Fame teams, the 1949 State Champion American Legion baseball team and the 1950 State Champion Butte Central basketball team. His professional baseball life began when he was signed in 1956 by the Pittsburg Pirates. P. Trott of Abilene and suggests it was likely made about 1871 when Hickok traveled from Abilene to nearby Junction City, Kansas. It was subsequently copied by Forney in 1899.Condition.
