Christy Mathewson large color lithographic Tuxedo Tobacco store display or shipping box, circa 1910. This large box measures 15 in. x 11 in. x 3.5 in. and presumably housed numerous smaller packages of tobacco. Considered one of the most desirable and rarest pieces of baseball advertising extant. This box retains exceptional color and appears to be fully intact, but does have creases, small holes and small tears. That being said, we do believe this to be the finest example to come to auction. Measures 15 x 11 x 3.5 inches. Overall fair to good condition in our opinion. Provenance: Montana private collection.*
